Making up Student Led Class Followed by Feedback & Discussion

This class is made up of two parts: class and feedback/discussion.
Both parts of the class need to be accounted for in the way that you make up each slcffd.
There are three different ways in which you can make up the slcffd’s that are listed below. You will need to complete two of the one hour make-ups listed below to satisfy one missed slcffd since they are two hours long.
1) Observation
Observe and take notes at any of Leah, Carrie, Parag or Julie’s classes.
Observation may be counted towards either taking the class or the feedback/discussion portion of the class.
You are encouraged to observe 4 classes during the course of the program, regardless of your ability to take class.
2) Assisting with Hands-on Adjustments
You may do hands-on assisting at any of the slcffd’s, or at Leah, Julie or Carrie’s classes at the YMCA
Hands-on assisting may be counted towards either taking the class or the feedback/discussion portion of the class.
You are required to assist with hands-on adjustments for 4 classes and are encouraged to do more.
3) Taking the class
Take any of Leah, Carrie, Parag or Julie’s classes.
Taking class may only be counted towards the ‘class’ portion of the slcffd.
Fees for these classes vary:
- At the YMCA it is $10 for a day pass if you are not a member. You can attend/observe/assist multiple classes at the YMCA for that one charge since both Carrie and Leah teach back-to-back classes there.
- Regular fees apply to take a class at other studios.
- At most other studios there is no charge to observe.
NOTE: Leah, Parag, Julie or Carrie must be teaching or present in the class in order for it to count toward your FYTT hours. (Because of the Yoga Alliance Requirements for ‘contact hours’, these classes need to be with the core instructors rather than with other yoga instructors). Their attendance, however, is not guaranteed, confirm ahead if time
Be sure to document your make-ups in the attendance folder!
